Fishy things in World of Warcraft Fishing Guide

I have decided to come up with this World of Warcraft fishing guide in order to guide and teach you how to level up as easily and quickly as possible. I decided to leave out the things or details which were not important so as not to waste time.

Seeing that fishing and cooking go hand in hand, this WoW Fishing Guide will also cover cooking and how you can increase your skills on both aspects of the game at the same time.

This guide will take place in 15 hours, or 11 if you are fast.

Why does your skill rate change

The skill rate you have increases depending on your number of successful catches.

To illustrate, here is an approximate equation:

(current unmodified fishing level - 25) / 25 = # of fish needed to level, assuming there's a minimum number of fish per catch.

You should be conscious that your skill rate changes depending on the number of successful catches that you make. You should be conscious that your skill rate changes depending on the number of successful catches that you make.

WoW Fishing Guide - Horde

1. Start at Mulgore in Bloodhoof Village.

2. Look for Harn Longcast, and talk to him about purchasing Brilliant Smallfish and Longjaw Mud Snapper recipes.

3. Proceed to Stonebull and begin your fishing.

4. Equip your rod, then apply the shiny bauble lure to it. This makes catching fish a lot simpler!

5. This time, start catching the 60 Brilliant Smallfish.

6. At about this time, you should have fished out about 30 Longjaw Mud Snappers. Once you have 60 of them already, proceed to cooking them. Build your own fire or you can just go back to Harn Longcast and use his fire.

7. Start cooking the Brilliant Smallfish.

8. Upon reaching level 50, begin cooking Longjaw Mud Snappers.

9. Then, start catching Longjaw Mud Snappers in the pond in Orgrimmar. The drop rate in Orgrimmar is better so it will be more efficient for you to go there than stay in your current position.

10. Somewhere between levels 50 and 70, start learning journeyman cooking and fishing.

11. Catch at least 30 Longjaw Mud Snappers for you to raise your cooking to 100.

12. Head to Tarren Mill in Hillsbrad. See the Derak Nightfall and buy the Bristle Whisker Catfish recipe.

13. You will need 80 to 100 of these to level up your cooking to 175.

14. Between levels 125 and 150, go to Shadowprey Village in Desolace and purchase Expert Cookbook.

15. Go to Booty Bay and purchase a book for your fishing level. Get old man Heming’s book of Expert Fishing.

16. Go to Sahdowprey Village in Desolace once you get to level 175 in cooking.

17. Talk to Wulan, buy Mithril Head Trout recipe, and fish at the pier.

18. Catch about 60 of these to reach cooking level 225.

Once you have completed the above 18 steps, you should have reached cooking level 225. If you haven't reached level 35 yet, this is as far as you can go. But if you are on levels 35 or above, you would just have 2 more quests to hurdle before you can move on.

First quest: Cooking and Second quest: Fishing
