Tips on Writing a Good Article

We all know the raw power and efficiency of article marketing.  All of us can even say that article marketing is the most powerful and most affordable online marketing technique that has been conceptualized since the creation of the World Wide Web.

Simply put, if you're operating an internet business, you have to use marketing with articles.

Nevertheless, one of the most asked questions I receive is this: how does one craft a good article?

This reveals that though most internet entrepreneurs know that they have to use article marketing, not all of them are possessed of the knowledge on how to write a made-for-the-internet type of informative content.

Hence, I have written down some easy to follow steps on how you can create the best kind of good article for internet advertising purposes.

  1. Know the subject you want to discuss with your article.

  2. Don't attempt to write about a general subject.  Filter it down to something that people will be interested in.  Just to illustrate, don't tackle the general subject of "dogs."  Try to determine a sub-topic that will tickle the fancies of the prospects you will be aiming for.  As is often the case, this sub-topic points to a specific demand, like "dog training" for people who are having problems with their unruly pets, or "dog grooming" for owners with allergies who can't live with the smell of their untidy canine friends.  You need to find a sub-topic that will make people take notice.  This is critical.  Most articles fail because they don't tackle a more tangible topic.

  3. Since the sub-topic should reflect a need, your article must be able to share a solution.  But, depending on the purpose of the article, the remedy you will discuss will vary.  By way of example, if the article is going to be used to market a product, then hold back on the answer you will share.  Your goal, in such a scenario, is to provide the impression that you are an expert in the field, and entice your readers to consider what you will be offering.  Do not forget this as you craft your piece.

  4. Come up with an attention grabbing title that is immediately understandable but nevertheless exciting.  People will visit your article if they will be hooked by its title.  If not, no one will view what you have written.

  5. Do not forget that every article has three basic components: the introduction, the body, and the conclusion.  The introduction will state to your audience what your article is all about.  You can share a surprising fact, an alarming statistic, or a humorous analogy to jerk your readers into realizing that yes, you are the a true expert in the field.  The body will explore the information you want to convey, naturally.  And the ending will summarize the problem, the provided solution, as well as deliver some calls to action (i.e. click my link) if necessary.

  6. How long should your article be? I'd say that 300 to 750 words would be perfect!

These are just some general tips for article writing.  It is not hard to write a good article all it takes is some planning and some thought.  With practice you will find it gets a lot quicker.  For further tips on writing a good article and additional ways you can increase your website traffic go to Marketeermum.
